Packaging, Branding, UI

ConceptTo make Trader Joe’s more accessible to a wider range of customers while reducing its environmental impact with sustainable packaging.

Color Trader Joe’s new look embraces a vibrant "California palette" that captures the essence of the Golden State. Featuring warm, earthy Mojave tones, breezy Malibu blues, and lush, green Sequoia hues, the design reflects California's diverse landscapes. This color story brings a fresh, inviting energy to the brand while staying rooted in its West Coast heritage.

Inspiration

Environmental Focus
Environmental sustainability is essential for Trader Joe's as a brand that values quality, innovation, and community. By prioritizing eco-friendly practices, such as reducing packaging waste and supporting sustainable sourcing, Trader Joe's can help protect natural resources and minimize its environmental impact. Embracing sustainability also aligns with the values of its customers, fostering trust and loyalty while contributing to a healthier planet for future generations.

MaterialsIn order to promote eco-conscious packaging, our refresh will primarily be using materials like Bio-Polyethylene, a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic, alongside corrugated board and MOONROCK Smooth Neenah environmental paper. These choices reflect a commitment to reducing environmental impact and supporting renewable, recyclable resources in packaging design.
